Bio

I am a California native and I lived and worked in Hollywood for ten years where I was a top story analyst and story editor for novels and film scripts.  A longtime Huffington Post contributor, I have been published as an essayist and short fiction writer in numerous publications. I also write for Script Magazine and The Times of Israel. I'm hard at work on my 2nd book, They Do Things Differently Here, a humorous memoir about moving from Hollywood to the Middle East and almost instantly regretting it. My first book, Just Effing Entertain Me: A Screenwriter's Atlas is available at Amazon and The Book Depository and my essay The Freaking Autumn of My Life was included in Aging: An Apprenticeship, and recently noted in the New Yorker. I am extremely proud of my work on Not Another Holocaust Story: The True Adventures of Gidon Lev
